Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install and set up Kunkun.
Install Kunkun
The Chrome extension is the main one — it works in Gmail, Notion, Reddit, and any text field on the web. The Google Docs add-on is optional and adds a sidebar for Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Chrome Extension: Works on all websites with text input
Workspace Add-on: Dedicated sidebar for Google Docs, Sheets, Slides
Sign in with Google
Kunkun needs an account to check your writing. A welcome page opens right after you install — sign in there, or use the button below. Signing in with Google creates your account at the same time, so there is no separate sign-up.
Secure: Your Google credentials stay with Google. We only receive permission to verify your identity.
Start checking your Japanese

Skip this if you only installed the Chrome extension. The first time you open Kunkun in Google Docs you will see permission requests:
- Click "Continue" to start authorization
- Select your Google account
- Review permissions and click "Allow"
- Return to your document to start checking
These permissions let Kunkun read and suggest improvements to your text while keeping your data secure.
